More than 60 million people don’t have access to safe and secure drinking water in Ethiopia. Women and girls walk for hours daily to collect water for cooking and cleaning; livelihoods suffer because farmers cannot irrigate their crops or water their livestock. MCC works with local partners to make sure people have access to clean, reliable water close to their communities. A gift of water helps build irrigation systems, wells and piped water systems.
