Help families displaced by violence in the Kasai region, DR Congo
As violence in the Kasai region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo) continues to prevent displaced people from returning to their homes, your support is as important as ever. Displaced people need food, education, hygiene items and trauma healing as they figure out ways to support themselves until they can return home.
Spring distributions of food allow families, including the one pictured, to eat more than one meal a day. “This support is important because it helps to reduce exploitation and tension in the local communities. Having food gives dignity to displaced people,” said MCC representative Mulanda Jimmy Juma.
Mennonite denominations in DR Congo continue to respond to the needs around them with support provided by MCC, other Anabaptist organizations and you.
