A gift to Sam’s Place assists youth who are in need of opportunity and support. Sam’s Place provides employment skills training to young people aged 14 -24 from all backgrounds and abilities in the context of a coffee shop. Participants in the program, often facing barriers, receive practical hands-on training in this real-world context. Each participant has an individualized learning journey and will receive helpful certifications. Upon completion, participants will hopefully move on to paid employment or other opportunities where they can use their new skills. Among other things, a donation to Sam’s Place supports the purchase of training materials, technology, and certification opportunities.
