A years-long conflict has left more than 40 per cent of South Sudan’s population – almost five million people – in urgent need of food and assistance or support for agricultural work. The United Nations has declared a famine in Unity State, the northern region of South Sudan.

MCC is providing a two-month supply of food in Unity State of South Sudan, and we are supporting South Sudanese refugees living in refugee camps in the Gambella region of neighbouring Ethiopia with canned meat and resources such as school kits and blankets.
