Planned Giving

What is "planned giving?"

A planned gift is when you decide to make a future gift to a charitable organization, like MCC, through your financial and estate plans. MCC welcomes your gifts made through planned giving arrangements that will:

  • Provide for you or your loved ones
  • Entitle you to charitable income and/or gift or estate tax deductions
  • Enable you to leave a legacy for MCC

Why does a planned gift matter?

Through your planned gift, you can make a major difference in the mission of MCC and in the lives of the people it serves in the name of Christ.  Many supporters of MCC have generously given planned gifts over the years and together, have been able to change for the better our mission of bringing God’s love and compassion to a vulnerable world.  Please remember us in your will and trusts – it will make a difference.

Ways to get started

Meet with MCC staff

Donor relations staff in MCC provincial offices have many years of experience helping MCC alumni and friends align their own deeply held beliefs and priorities with MCC needs. They would be happy to help you explore how a planned gift to MCC might fit in your life plan or to speak with your financial or legal advisor. Contact your nearest MCC office to arrange a visit.

Consult a financial planner

Ask a financial planner or legal adviser to help you align your resources of cash and other assets with your personal values. Advisers can match your wishes with your resources and the needs of MCC. An experienced financial counsellor will help you determine how much and when to give to maximize your lifetime earnings and tax benefits. If gifts require ongoing administration, we recommends that you consider using Abundance Canada.

Let us thank you!

If you have included MCC in your estate plans, please let us know. We would like to thank you for your generosity, get to know you and hear about how MCC fits into your faith and understanding of sharing God’s love and compassion for all in the name of Christ. Contact your local MCC office.
